Between Now & Nowhere presents new textile works and prints by current TXA Artists-in-Residence Loo Bain, Anne Greenwood, and Lyla Rowen. The jacquard weavings and screenprints, made while in residency at the Icelandic Textile Center and during the PSU Textile Residency, explore natural processes and our planet in flux. Curved magnetic fields created by opposing poles, bedrock crumbling into sand by waves, and trees communicating through mycelium networks in a symbiotic relationship with their roots inspire imagery in pattern, shape, and color: Can these ephemeral moments and feelings be held in images?
