JSMA at PSU is excited to host the museum's first "Art in Conversation" event, featuring PSU students and faculty in conversation with exhibiting artists.
The winter '24 conversation will feature Labor of Love artist Jay Lynn Gomez led in conversation by PSU students from La Casa Latina Student Center. Gomez’s work is known for addressing issues of immigration and making visible the “invisible” labor forces that are essential to our everyday lives. The discussion will explore the artist’s life and work, focusing on themes related to labor, class, representation, and visibility within existing capitalist systems.
This event is free and open to the public. Programming held in collaboration with PSU’s La Casa Latina Student Center, Queer Resource Center, and Trans Women's Community Project at the Women's Resource Center.
