PSU and LAIKA light up campus for Portland Winter Light Festival

PSU is partnering with animation powerhouse LAIKA to transform the downtown campus for the 2026 Portland Winter Light Festival. The “All the Little Things” theme features illuminated displays in the South Park Blocks and Simon Benson House. The festival runs Feb. 6, 7, 13 and 14.

PSU professor launches study on parenting under immigration stress

Assistant Professor Susana Beltrán-Grimm is launching a national study on how immigration stress affects parenting and children’s play. Supported by an APA grant, the research explores how families navigate fear to protect their children. Findings will guide trauma-informed support for schools and families.
