Career goals: what do you plan to do with your fluency in Russian?
Russian is a very important language in the world of science. I plan to use my skills in the Russian language to bridge the gap between Russian and American data and research in the scientific field.
What attracted you to the PSU Russian Flagship program?
Russian is a beautiful and complex language that I love studying. It’s beautiful to listen to and even more pleasant to talk in. I aim to eventually gain complete fluency in Russian, which makes the PSU Russian Flagship program perfect for me. I really appreciate how studying abroad is an integral part of the program since immersive learning is irreplaceable in terms of efficacy.
What’s the best aspect of being in the PSU Russian Flagship program?
I can feel the genuine care from the PSU Flagship faculty towards my success in the program. I also love the weekly conversational tutoring sessions, those are incredibly helpful.
Why is fluency in Russian important to you?
Russian is a language that rewards the learner with cultural and linguistic nuances that enhance the learner’s understanding of Russian. Fluency in the language is important to me because I wish to understand all these nuances and become a more cultured world citizen.
