Josh Keeling


Josh brings over a decade of experience in deployment, planning and evaluation of distributed energy resources. He is currently the VP of Advanced Projects and Strategy at Generac, where he leads deployment of virtual power plants and distributed energy resource aggregations for projects in the US and abroad. He has a deep understanding of regulation, policy, analytics, and distributed energy resource interconnection—having held leadership roles in consulting, at a software startup, and at Portland General Electric. He has contributed to a number of standards, including the International Energy Conservation Code, USDOE's Uniform Methods Project, CTA-2045, and ANSI's guidelines for measurement and verification. Josh serves on the board of Grid Forward, is a voting member of the Regional Technical Forum, and is faculty for the Rocky Mountain Institute's eLab Accelerator program. Josh holds a Ph.D./M.S. in Systems Science and a B.S. in Economics from Portland State University.
