Career goals: what do you plan to do with your fluency in Russian?
After college, I hope to go to law school and study international law. I believe that as a critical language, being fluent in Russian will give me an edge when it comes to applying to law school as well as when I begin looking for jobs. I would also love to travel to Russia one day because it seems like an extremely interesting country.

What attracted you to the PSU Russian Flagship program?
Russian has always been a language that I have been interested in learning, and I've always wanted to be fluent in a language other than English. I feel that this program is one of the best ways for me to achieve those goals, especially due to the immersion aspect of the program.

What’s the best aspect of being in the PSU Russian Flagship program?
I love the small class size and the fact that the classes are every day. Even though Russian is a difficult language, and the program is fast-paced, those two aspects have allowed me to learn a second language easier than ever before.

Why is fluency in Russian important to you?
I believe that in our modern world it is vital to be fluent in a second language. Not only is Russian a beautiful language, but it is also a critical language for the US and international interests. Learning Russian will not only make me a better global citizen but give me an edge in my future career.
