Changes to campus building access effective Monday

We’re starting to see hopeful signs of a flattening coronavirus curve in Oregon, but Gov. Kate Brown’s Stay Home, Save Lives order is still in effect. Portland State is committed to do its part by supporting a virtual campus for spring term 2020.

In an effort to better comply with the governor’s order, effective Monday April 6, general student campus access will be limited to the computer labs in Fariborz Maseeh Hall and the Millar Library, unless access to other buildings has previously been arranged. Housing access remains unchanged for all residents.

Students who have previously been granted special access and who are fulfilling essential activities will maintain access. If a student has a specific access need, they should contact their department head to update access control privileges.

Study groups, social interaction and connections with faculty are important to your wellbeing and academic success. We encourage students to find new ways to connect using Zoom or Google Hangouts to develop online study groups and finding other new ways to connect to student groups on campus
