Joseph Hernandez, Equity & People Manager for the Oregon Food Bank, has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Portland and a Master of Business Administration from Marylhurst University. He has more than 10 years of progressive experience in corporate, higher education, and governmental environments. He is a self-proclaimed people person that has capabilities across various HR practices, including talent acquisition, workforce planning, training, performance management, understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, and labor relations.
Joseph is continually inspired by human resources, teaching, training, and advancing racial equity initiatives, and is always looking for ways to influence others. Furthermore, he encourages and supports all forms of diversity. In his experience, he has participated in many activities that advance racial equity.
