Carmen Ripollés specializes in the art of the Hispanic World during the early modern period. Her research interests include early modern artistic theory, notions of artistic identity, and material culture. She has a number of forthcoming articles on various aspects of this research, including el Greco and an essay on Spanish still life forthcoming in Renaissance Quarterly.
