Raj Solanki is Professor in the Department of Physics and has a joint appointment in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Portland State University. Research in his lab has spanned from laser optics to growth of thin films using atomic layer deposition. Some of the specific areas include use of lasers for thin film deposition and etch, SOI technology, flat panel displays, nanomaterials, and bio-sensors. Current research in his lab is focused on 2D thin films, including topological insulators and semi-metals, as well as energy related materials for multivalent batteries and fuel cells.
