Erin Bransford was born and raised in Napa, California, and moved to Portland, Oregon, in September 2009 after being offered the position of Fitness & Health Promotion Coordinator for PSU Campus Rec.
Erin has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a Minor in Exercise and Sports Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology from Sonoma State University. She has been certified as a Group Fitness Instructor since 2006 and a Personal Trainer since 2008.
In her free time Erin trains for and participates in triathlons of all distances, including completing three Ironman distance races in the past five years. She also enjoys hiking, particularly at any location that includes a waterfall, and backpacking during the summer. Yoga, weight lifting, and joining in Group X classes are also hobbies of hers. When she isn’t active, Erin likes to spend time with her dog Buddy and husband Kevin, cheer for the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland A’s, and watch Survivor.
