NOTICES:

  • Due to COVID-19, our physical office will be closed until further notice. All appointments will be done via phone or Google Hangouts. Express advising will also be conducted virtually.

The School of Business provides professional advisors to help you with academic and career advising. Advisors are available to assist with university general education and degree requirements, exploring career paths, course planning, academic standing issues and petitions, and they can also refer you to helpful campus services.

Express Virtual Peer Advising

Drop-in only Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

To log into the virtual express advising, it's as easy as 1-2-3.

  1. During express advising hours, log into the advising portal. Please use your student pdx.edu email account.
  2. Once submitted, please wait with your pdx.edu email account open
  3. You will receive a Google Meet Video chat invite from the next available peer advisor. Please be patient as there may be students ahead of you. A peer advisor will email you if any problems are encountered with getting ahold of you.

Preparation for Scheduled Appointments

Incoming or current business students are provided with professional advisors to help you with academic and career advising. Admitted business students are assigned an advisor based on the last two digits of your PSU student ID. Once you identify your advisor, please click on their appointment link to set up an appointment. The appointments last 30 minutes.

  • Make sure you have a list of your questions or concerns prior to your appointment.
  • Remember to arrive early or on-time.
  • The Undergraduate Programs Office is in KMC 220 (when in-person appointments resume)
  • When you arrive, please tell the front desk that you have an appointment with [your advisor] at [whatever time your appointment is].

Before your appointment, your academic advisor will print out your degree audit and make notes on remaining credits, as well as any questions or concerns you share when scheduling your appointment. You will receive a copy of your degree audit report to take with you. It is recommended that you bring a notebook and pen.
