A BOLD VISION FOR PORTLAND

Twenty years ago, the PSU Center for Real Estate was created through the vision of Portland real estate leaders that understood there was a need to develop talent for local industry. Today, 80% of our real estate students are from Oregon, 66% identify as BIPOC, and close to half are the first in their families to attend college. Such students are the bedrock on which our region’s vitality, stability and economic future is staked.

The Center is 100% funded by individual and industry philanthropy and is committed to:

  • Developing a diverse talent pipeline to build a better future
  • Fostering industry networks through relationships built on reputation
  • Providing career opportunities to achieve social mobility for underrepresented students.

The Center's focus delivers meaningful outcomes. Our recent 2023 Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) graduate students realized a 100% employment rate and a $36,500 average salary increase six months after graduation.

Your generous contribution enables our Center for Real Estate to:

  • Increase access to career opportunities through internships and industry engagement
  • Enhance hybrid course offerings to accommodate working professionals
  • Grow enrollment to enhance our students' education experience by expanding their graduate program network
  • Build our Real Estate Emerging Leaders (REEL) student organization and Alumni Board to develop future real estate leaders
  • Support our real estate mentor program and career panel networking events
  • Fund student visits to national ULI and ICSC conferences & real estate tours
  • Increase scholarships for real estate students
  • Provide opportunities to obtain Argus, LEED, CCIM, CPM designations and continuing education
  • Access data tools such as Moody's
