Application Requirements

Admission requirements for prospective graduate business students at Portland State vary by program and certificate. Please note that admission requirements for any program or certificate have to be met in addition to Portland State’s minimum admission requirements.

Start by understanding which admission requirements you will need to fulfill in order to be considered for your program or certificate of interest, in addition to Portland State’s minimum standards.

Once your application is submitted, we will be in touch if we find anything incomplete or need clarification. Once finalized, you will be able to check the status of your application online. As soon as the decision has been made, you will receive a notice via email and will be able to access the corresponding letter online.

We are excited for you to launch your next career chapter with The School of Business. Please send questions to sbgradadmissions@pdx.edu.

International Student Admissions

About 20% of all graduate business students at PSU are international students, enriching the learning experience with their diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

Admissions requirements for international students are mostly the same as for U.S. students. One additional requirement that international students may be asked to provide is proof of English language proficiency. Please also keep in mind that if you are sending transcripts in a language other than English, you will need to submit a certified translation along with the original.
