Shannon is the Director of Business Career Services for the School of Business. She leads the School of Business Career Center team to support business students in obtaining meaningful career outcomes with their new degree from PSU. She focuses on finding innovative strategies to support students career development and prioritizes building community with others to achieve shared goals.
Prior to her current role, she was the Director of Strategic Employer Engagement for the School of Business Career Center where she focused on maintaining and expanding employer relationships in the School of Business to increase student access to career opportunities. Shannon has work experience in a variety of industries including: healthcare, banking, law, and higher education. She has both her Bachelor and Master's degrees from Portland State University (so her Viking roots are strong).
Shannon brings a variety of lived experiences to her work, some of those include being a first-generation college student, a first-gen higher ed practitioner, biracial, cis-female, transracial adoptee and a caregiver. When not at work, you will likely find her with her husband and dog, exploring or learning new things, resting, enjoying old favorite activities and foods, volunteering in her community, cooking, DIYing house projects, spending time with family and friends or spending time alone reflecting, learning and growing.
