Khaitan Allen is an Academic and Career advisor for undergraduate students in The School of Business. He started at PSU in the fall 2018.
Khaitan grew up in Eugene, Oregon. He graduated from the University of Oregon, double majoring in Philosophy and Religious Studies. Deciding to drive across the country, Khaitan ended up near Boston, Massachusetts. He attended the University of Massachusetts Boston (UMB), graduating with a Master’s degree in History/Teaching History, and then pursued a certificate in Secondary Education (History) and Certificate of Teaching English. His professional career began at UMB as an advisor/coordinator for the TRIO Student Support Services program, as well as a First Year Seminar and “ESL” instructor, and undergraduate/graduate tutor.
Khaitan enjoys the opportunity of assisting students, navigating through the challenges and successes of the university system, and planning out their individualized academic trajectory.
Beyond PSU, Khaitan enjoys spending time in British Columbia with his wife and dog. Khaitan is also learning to play the ukulele, Korean, and watching way too many Korean dramas.
