  1. Grace Dillon, Native American studies and university studies faculty, served as a consultant for the film “Antlers,” directed by Scott Cooper and produced by Guillermo de Toro. Read more.
  2. Jacen Greene moderated the talk “Changing the Narrative of Homelessness” — which also included Maude Hines, English faculty — on Nov. 14 for the Coalition of Urban and Public Universities.
  3. Shirley A. Jackson, sociology faculty, participated in a panel discussion consisting of former Ethnic Studies faculty members from Bowling Green State University in celebration of the department’s 50th anniversary at the Association for Ethnic Studies Annual Conference on Nov. 6. 
  4. Michael N. McGregor, English faculty emeritus, launched a new website called WritingtheNorthwest.com, featuring news and commentary on writing about the Pacific Northwest, both historical and contemporary.
  5. Marta Stelmaszak Rosa, business faculty, participated in the debate “How Can We Push Danish Industries Further on the Way to Industry 5.0” at the Digital Tech Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark, from Nov. 30-Dec. 1.
  6. Emily Shafer, sociology faculty, was quoted in a KPTV article on Sept. 30 about the nationwide labor shortage.
  7. Liu-Qin Yang, psychology faculty, was elected president-elect of the Society for Occupational Health Psychology.
