Admissions Requirements
- Demonstration of sufficient preparation for the program coursework. This can include a graduate or undergraduate degree in business, marketing or a related field, or a combination of work experience and education.
- Admissions requirements will vary depending on what type of student is applying

- Basic information, including residency for tuition purposes
- Education history
- Education plan
- Relevant activities and experience
- $52 application fee (application fee deferrals may be requested)
Application Requirements for New PSU Graduate Students
- Basic information, including residency for tuition purposes
- Academic history including copies of transcripts/Marksheets from each college or university attended
- Professional resume
- Short essay responses to program-specific questions
- $67 application fee
Application Requirements for Current PSU Graduate Students
- Complete a Request for Change of Program form.
- Please select the option “I wish to add to my present program...”
- The form must be signed by your current academic advisor.
- Complete the Graduate Business Certificate Request Form.
- Brief purpose statement and resume required
- Contact impactentrepreneurs@pdx.edu to determine your schedule of courses
Application Requirements for Current PSU Undergraduate Students
- Complete a Program Change request in Banweb. Follow the steps below and find a video tutorial here.
- Log in to banweb.pdx.edu, select the "Student Services" tab
- Select "Academic Program Change" from the menu. Your current academic program will be displayed;
- To change it, select "Yes" where it says "Would you like to change this program?".
- Select Secondary major, and type: “Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship Certificate”.
- Select "Confirm program change" or go back to edit your changes.
- Complete a written application for the Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship Certificate.
Application Requirements for Other Students
Students may apply as a Non-Degree Student, a Re-Enroll Student, or a Senior Citizen Applicant.
Application Due Dates
New students start classes in the fall, winter, spring or summer quarter.
- Winter Term - December 15
- Spring Term - March 1
- Summer Term - June 1
- Fall Term - August 31
