Brady Firth joined Portland State University in 2018. He currently teaches courses on Human Resource Management. Brady’s research is broadly directed at exploring how individuals and teams overcome stressors in the workplace, as well as how individuals and teams proactively approach their work. In both streams, he focuses primarily on cognitive and motivational factors that drive these processes, placing a heavy emphasis on the role of learning (e.g., by articulating how individuals respond to feedback, how teams integrate knowledge, and how performance increases over time). To service his investigation of these issues, he relies on both field studies and experiments.
