Dr. Sirisha M. Kothuri is a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Portland State University. Dr. Kothuri received her BSCE from Osmania University (India), her MSCE from Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge), and her Ph.D. in civil engineering from Portland State University.

Dr. Kothuri’s current research spans the areas of multimodal travel monitoring, operations and safety. She has been the principal or co-principal investigator on several projects and sponsors include the National Highway Cooperative Research Program (NCHRP), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the National Institute for Transportation and Communities (NITC).

Dr. Kothuri is a member of Transportation Research Board (TRB’s) Standing Committee on Pedestrians (ANF10) and Standing Committee on Traffic Signal Systems (AHB25). She also serves as the research co-chair for the Pedestrian Committee and the Bicycle and Pedestrian Data Subcommittee (ABJ35(3)).  In her spare time, Dr. Kothuri loves reading and spending time with her family.
