  1. Bright Alozie, Black Studies faculty, received the 2023 NACBS Diversity and Inclusion Fellowship Award in recognition and support of his forthcoming book, “Voices in Ink: Petitions, Petition Writing, and the Colonial State in Igboland, 1892-1960” on Nov. 10-12 at the North American Conference on British Studies held in Baltimore.

  16. Hyeyoung Woo, Sociology faculty, was interviewed on family law in Korea for the article, “Adopt a friend: South Korean writer’s unusual route to family,” by Agence France-Presse. The article was featured at Yahoo News, Japan Times, Barron’s, and MalayMail.
