  1. Daria Aleeva, World Languages and Literatures faculty, presented "Integrating the Teaching of Vocabulary and Grammar: Making a Lexico-Grammatical approach the heart of an Intermediate Russian Course" on Feb.17 at the American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages annual conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
  2. Anita Bright, Curriculum & Instruction faculty, gave a keynote presentation titled “Centering Identity and Relationships in Our Work: Moving from Transactional, to Transformative, to Transgressive” at the TEFL Kuwait conference at the Kuwait College of Science and Technology in Kuwait City, Kuwait.
  3. Tom Gillpatrick, Business faculty, and Evan Green, Executive Director of Justice Diversity Equity Inclusion in the School of Business, participated in a panel discussion on "University Partnerships: Their role in Economic Development & Innovation" in November at the African Business & Economic Research conference in Dakhla, Morocco.
  4. Kevin Kecskes, Public Administration faculty, was lead/solo presenter for a workshop titled “Conundrum #1: How Do We Get Our Arms Around Anchor Mission Work?” on Feb. 22 sponsored by the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities.
  5. Eva Thanheiser, Mathematics faculty, presented “What Do We Mean By Mathematics?” on Feb. 24 at the The Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences in Toronto.
  6. Yasin Tunc, Curriculum & Instruction faculty, presented a talk titled “Secular Image(ina)ry In World Language Education: A critical analysis of cultural representation in World Language Teacher Practices and Curricular Materials” on Feb. 22 at UNC Chapel Hill at the Center for Middle East and Islamic Studies (CMEIS).
