Our tribal partners will present their language program’s history, revitalization efforts, and future projects. Siletz Tribal Language ProgramConfederated Tribes of Siletz IndiansNick Viles is a Siletz Tribal Member who currently works as a language teacher for the Siletz Tribal Language Program. He is a second language learner who has been involved in revitalizing his ancestral language, Nuu-wee-ya’ (Oregon Dené/Oregon Athabaskan) for over 20 years. The Siletz Tribal Language Program currently offers three-levels of weekly community classes on-line, monthly in-person instruction, supports language instruction for high school students at the Siletz Valley School, as well as Head Start classrooms. arts, culture & entertainment community diversity and multiculturalism lectures & guest speakers
