Celebrate PSU Pride month with Campus Rec and partners from across campus! Portland State University celebrates Pride on campus in May, leading up to the larger LGBT Pride month that is celebrated in June in the United States and around the world.
Join Campus Rec and partners from across campus for a variety of Pride events taking place in May and early June to celebrate LGBTQ+ representation and continue the fight for equality. Participants of Campus Rec Pride events will receive an exclusive Pride t-shirt. Pride events are free for Campus Rec members—including all current PSU students. Members can bring guests with a valid photo ID at the daily rate of $7 per person. PSU faculty and staff can attend faculty/staff events for free, and can self-sponsor themselves as a guest for $7 for all other Pride events.

Meet us on the Rec Center Courts for a friendly and fun-filled tournament with a GIANT volleyball that is four feet in diameter! Celebrate PSU Pride month with a spirited game of 5v5v5 Mixed Slowpitch Softball! The same slowpitch softball rules, but with smaller teams. Three teams will play against each other on each field— one team of 5 players bat, while the other two teams of 5 players play defense. Come out to Stott Field on Thursdays to scrimmage and get ready for the tournament. All orientations and skill levels are encouraged to play. Limited to 6 teams, so register your team right away! Trans, genderqueer, and all queer folks are invited to come check out the Climbing Center during Queer Climbing Night. This event is geared toward trans, genderqueer, and all body-positive people. All identities and skill levels are welcome. No previous experience or registration required. Drop in anytime during the event, or arrive at 5 p.m. for a welcome, introductions and an overview of the space.
Prior to using the Climbing Center, you must watch the Climbing Center orientation video and pass the climbing quiz at Member Services. Stop by the Equipment Check-Out desk next to Member Services to check out a climbing wristband and some climbing shoes before the event. Learn more on the Climbing Center webpage.
