Campus Rec's FREE Beginner programming options are designed specifically for participants with no prior experience engaging in each program offered. Join a supportive community with knowledgeable instructors to guide you as you learn a new skill, build confidence, and make friends! Drop-in anytime during the event. Registration is encouraged but not required.

Meeting new people and learning to climb in the same night?! Join the Outdoor Program for an introduction to the Climbing Center, some climbing tips and tricks, and to meet other new climbers.

Beginner Strength Hour

Mondays | 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm | 4th Floor Weight Room

Beginner Drop In Hour is a structured session designed specifically for individuals new to weight training, focusing on increasing confidence in your ability to strength train through assisting with and ensuring proper form and technique.

Beginner Swim Clinic

Thursdays | 6 pm – 7 pm | ASRC Pool - 2nd Floor

This class is for participants with no swimming experience. Our instructors will focus on the basic skills, such as water acclimation, floating, breathing and equipment introduction. Registration required.
