General & Access

The main Campus Recreation Center is located in the Academic & Student Recreation Center (ASRC) at 1800 SW 6th Avenue. The facilities are spread across floors 2, 3, and 4.  If you are looking to access the main Recreation Center, there is a call box at the doors near the Urban Plaza where staff can buzz you in. The Outdoor Program office is also located within the Academic & Student Recreation Center on the first floor at the corner of Harrison & 5th.

All students who are enrolled in at least one credit and pay the student fee with their tuition have access to Campus Rec. We also offer memberships for PSU faculty, staff and alumni. Current members can add an additional 3 people under a Friends and Family membership. For more information on memberships, learn more here.

The Academic Student Recreation Fee is a mandatory, non-waivable fee required for all students enrolled in at least one credit. It is assessed with your tuition and covers more than just facility access. It allows you to use the Rec Center and provides reduced rates on various programs, including group fitness classes, swim lessons, outdoor trips, and personal training sessions.

Operating hours vary throughout the year. You can find the most up-to-date hours on our website. Please note that hours may change during academic breaks, holidays, and special events.

Membership & Services

We offer various membership options, including those for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends & family. Children of members are free dependents on your membership.

For faculty and staff members we offer monthly memberships. The process is different depending on benefit-elegibility, check out our faculty/staff membership webpage to learn more. Other options would be a daily self-sponsor pass or our 5 visit punch pass. PSU faculty and staff may self-sponsor themselves as a guest at the daily rate of $9 per day or purchase a 5 visit punch pass for $40. 

Yes, guests can purchase a day pass for $9 to access the facilities. All guests must be accompanied by a current member.

We offer facilities for rent for community members depending on availability.  If you have a group interested in partnering with us to use our gym, please complete a Facility Reservation Request form

Yes, day-use lockers are available free of charge. You can also rent lockers for a longer term. For longer term rented lockers, please bring your own lock or purchase one at Member Services. Check out our getting started guide here for more information.

Yes, members can use our online portal to manage their accounts, register for programs, and view the facility schedule.

Programs & Activities

We offer a wide range of group fitness classes, including yoga, strength training, cardio, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Classes are free for members.

You can sign up for a personal training session with one of our certified trainers. We offer personalized fitness plans to help you meet your goals.

Yes, we have a variety of options for sports to participate in. Campus Rec offers Intramural sports leagues and tournaments throughout the year, including basketball, soccer, volleyball, and softball. We also have various options for Drop-In Sports, come to the courts and meet new people and start a game. There are also Rec clubs which are student led clubs of different types that play sports and hold practices. 

The Outdoor Program provides opportunities for outdoor recreation and adventure. We offer guided trips, skill-building workshops, and a wide selection of outdoor gear (like raincoats, hiking boots, kayaks, Stand Up Paddleboards, etc.) for rent, including camping equipment, kayaks, and snowshoes.

Yes, we offer swimming lessons and aquatic certifications for various skill levels. Check the Aquatics section of our website for schedules and registration.
