Forest therapy is a guided practice that connects your body with the natural world to promote well-being. This practice is inspired by Shinrin-Yoku from Japan, which translates into English as “forest bathing.” Benefits include stress reduction, mental and physical health improvement, and boosting the immune system. During a forest therapy experience we will take slow, intentional time outdoors to deepen our relationship with the natural world. With the help of a guide you will step outside of the fast-paced city and into the rhythms of the forest. Sharing the experience with your guide and the other participants allows you to build community while nourishing yourself with a natural setting!

Difficulty Level

Easy: Relatively low to moderate physical activity; no previous experience needed.

Registration Deadline & Pre-Trip Meeting: Sign up in person at the Outdoor Program office located at 505 SW Harrison Street by May 31 at 5 pm.
