Lisa Notman received B.A.s in English, Spanish, and Arts and Letters from Portland State University in 2015. She also completed an M.A. in Spanish in 2017 and an M.S. in Educational Leadership and Policy in 2020 with graduate certificates in Teaching Adult Learners and Service-Learning & Community Based Learning. She is co-author of "Beginning Spanish - Empecemos por aquí,” an Open Educational Resource (OER) Spanish textbook that is used in PSU's first-year Spanish program. Her areas of interest include adult language learning, comprehensible input, and Latin American literature. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and paddleboarding around the Pacific Northwest.
