Spring people

 

  1. Jola Ajibade, geography faculty, was interviewed by Architectural Record on June 1 about “Climate Change and the Crisis of Inequity: A Call to Action.” 
  2. Dustin Bessette, business faculty, was accepted to the UC Berkeley Executive Leadership Academy.
  3. Dustin Bessette, business faculty, has been appointed as Interim Chair of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice for the Portland State University Faculty Association.
  4. Dustin Bessette, business faculty, has been appointed as reviewer for the Journal of Faculty Development.
  5. Jenny Ceciliano, world languages and literatures, was featured by Open Oregon for her work in promoting the development of open educational resources for language courses.
  6. Alison Heryer, Art + Design faculty, hosted her work Picnic — a collection of 5-foot by 5-foot picnic blankets laid together to create an abstract gingham quilt — in the courtyard at Oregon Contemporary on June 4.
  7. Ryan Petteway, OHSU-PSU School of Public Health, was selected to the 2022 New Voices Contest longlist by Frontier Poetry with a set of poems, “There’s a Chance I’m a Dented Can,” “Glass Factory,” and “The People v. Smokey 596 U.S. 525.”
  8. J.J.P. Veerman, mathematics faculty, will hold the Joseph Meyerhoff Visiting Professorship in the Department of Chemical and Biological Physics at the Weizmann Institute of Science from June to December.
