The Learning Center

The Learning Center offers free tutoring services for most 100- and 200-level courses. Their mission is to foster the learning process by empowering P.S.U. students to accomplish their academic and personal goals. In addition to helping you with your current coursework, our academic support services can assist you in developing effective learning strategies. Office of Information Technology (O.I.T.)

O.I.T. supports Portland State University's technology needs with a robust campus infrastructure that includes networks, telecommunications, servers and data storage, email and web services, and labs and classroom technologies. O.I.T. also provides technical support and training for Portland State University students.

Undergraduate Advising Resource Center

Academic advising is organized into seven Advising Pathways which group similar majors and give students the opportunity to stay with the same advisor and advising team as often as possible even if they change their major. Students are assigned to an advisor who will help them to understand graduation requirements, create degree plans, and successfully achieve their educational goals.

The Bias Review Team (BRT), which includes key campus-wide stakeholders, communicates and meets regularly to respond to reported bias incidents, and to assure students, employees, and community members who experience or witness an act of bias receive support and access to resources.

Campus Recreation

Campus Rec creates an environment where quality recreation and wellness programs inspire, empower and educate individuals to be positive contributors to the Portland State and global community. Campus Rec offers six program areas all uniquely designed to offer recreation in the areas of Aquatics, Fitness and Health Promotions, Intramurals and Special Events, Rec Clubs, Inclusive Rec, Community Service and Outdoor Programs.

Center for Student Health and Counseling (S.H.A.C.)

S.H.A.C. is available to admitted students registered for 5 or more credit hours. S.H.A.C. is a community-based health care organization that provides high quality, accessible mental health, physical health, dental services, and testing services targeted to the needs of the P.S.U. student population.
