Resources for Students

For the 2024-2025 academic year, we have Student Success interns from the School of Social Work who work with DRC students on:

  • Understanding the nuances of higher education and disability.
  • Working on study skills, time management, note taking skills, etc.
  • Developing strategies to communicate with instructors and self-advocate.
  • Getting connected with on- and off-campus resources.

Mentoring gives students a consistent person to talk to and a safe place to discuss the intersection of disability and academic work.

If you'd like to talk with a Student Engagement intern, you can schedule a meeting.

If you have questions or want to learn more about mentoring, you can contact the DRC at 503-725-4150 or drc@pdx.edu, or reach out to your Access Counselor & Consultant.
