Andrea is an MSW student intern and comes to us with a dynamic background in emergency medical response, healthcare administration, and tutoring. She holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in Human Communication with a focus on Organizational Communication. Her primary interests have long been in psychology and mental & physical health and have more recently expanded to include disability justice. With her own diagnosis of ADHD made in adulthood, Andrea has a keen interest in and connection to the challenges faced by being non-typical in a typically designed world. When she's not at the DRC or in class, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, hiking, playing video games, and hanging out with her cats, Arthur and Wyatt.

Email: cristint@pdx.edu

Cristin Turner has worked in disability resources in higher education on and off since 2014. Cristin started this work as a Graduate Assistant doing access coordination at The University of Northern Colorado while working toward her master's degree. After completing her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2016, she continued working with college students providing individual and group counseling. She returned to disability resources in 2020 and most recently was the Director of the Disability Resource Center at the University of Northern Colorado. Cristin's education and background in mental health has positioned her to respond to the rising mental health needs on college campuses and bring awareness to mental health disabilities as valid disabilities that are often invisible, yet equally worthy of support.

Cristin joins us remotely from Greeley, CO, where she runs a virtual private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor and enjoys time with her partner and gray tabby cat, Murphy.
