OUR MISSION
The CEME Testing Center is a collaborative exam space co-managed by the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) and Mechanical and Materials Engineering (MME) Departments, which provides exam support for CEE and MME students with registered Alternative Testing accommodations.
OUR PARTNERS
While we are separate entities, the CEME Testing Center works in partnership with PSU Testing Services and the PSU Disability Resource Center (DRC) to support our students. Together, we are committed to maintaining accessibility, integrity, and professionalism throughout all aspects of the test administration process, and operating in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
OUR PROCESS
At the beginning of each term, the CEME Testing Center will email a Google form - the CEME Accommodated Testing Opt-In Form - to all CEE and MME students. Eligible students must submit this form one time by Sunday of week two in order to use CEME Testing Center services that term.
In the form, students will list all courses with exams they'd like to take at CEME (please note that we are only able to host exams for courses with a CE, EAS, ENVE, or ME prefix).
Once submitted, CEME staff will work directly with instructors to preschedule all exams in those courses throughout the term, with the student's Alternative Testing accommodations in mind.
Final confirmations for exams will be sent to both student and instructor within one week of the exam date. All exams will be scheduled to overlap the regular class time as much as possible, though final dates/times may vary depending on instructor requirements, course conflicts, proctor availability, or other factors.
Students who do not complete the Opt-In Form in the first two weeks of term will not have their exams prescheduled by CEME staff, and will need to email cemetesting@pdx.edu directly to discuss individual exam requests.
