Professor Aimée Carreón-Serna received her Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics and Literature, and an Interdisciplinary Ph.D. Emphasis in Applied Linguistics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Since 2008 she has been teaching upper and lower division courses at Portland State University and other colleges in Oregon. She has taught Hispanic linguistics, Mexican literature and journalism courses at various universities in Mexico (Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua, and Tec de Monterrey) and USA (New Mexico State University, University of California at Santa Barbara, Pacific University, Portland Community College, and George Fox University).
Her teaching interests include Spanish for Heritage learners, Hispanic Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, and Mexican Literature, Culture & Film.
