Dr. Rachmuth earned a Bachelor’s degree in computer science in 1998 from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and a Master's degree in 2004 from the Tel-Aviv University in Religious Studies. The title of his thesis was "A Great Space Being between Them: A Kohutian Reading of the Books of Samuel." In 2004, he moved to Eugene, where he completed his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature in 2010. His dissertation is entitled, "The Speculative Ethics of Modern Comedic Work: Mark Twain, Italo Svevo, Charlie Chaplin and Lenny Bruce."

Moshe's professional interests include the intersection of popular culture and ethics, Biblical Studies, psychoanalytic literary criticism, and AI-informed research.
