DeLys Ostlund


Professor of Spanish

DeLys Ostlund came to PSU in 1991 as a Spanish instructor and is currently a professor of Spanish in the Department of World Languages and Literatures. She holds graduate degrees in Spanish Literature from the University of Maryland (Ph.D.) and the University of Utah (M.A.). Her research interests are in the area of 17th-century Spanish theater, and she has published a critical edition, a book, and several articles in this field. Her favorite literary work is Cervantes’ El ingenioso hidalgo don Quijote de la Mancha.

One of her favorite things about PSU is our non-traditional students. Having spent more than half her life here, she considers herself a naturalized Oregonian.
