Credit for Prior Learning Assessment for Faculty

To help students navigate the Credit for Prior Learning process, review the steps below.

Arrange for CPL Assessment

  1. Student contacts the academic department to determine if a course is eligible for CPL and will apply toward their degree.
  2. Student completes the CPL Form.
  3. Student pays the CPL fee at the Cashier's Office.
  4. Student returns the completed form, with "PAID" stamp from the Cashier's Office, to the department to arrange for the CPL assessment.

CPL Assessment and Grading

  1. Department administers the exam or portfolio assessment.
  2. Instructor or academic department completes the Grading section of the CPL form.
  3. The completed CPL form, is sent to the Registrar's Office for processing.
