Transcript Requests

In light of current guidance to diminish the spread of coronavirus/COVID-19, beginning Monday, 3/16 and until further notice the Office of the Registrar will provide service only via email and phone and will be suspending in-person service hours. During this time the option for in-person pick-up of transcripts is not available. Please choose either the e-transcript or paper mailed transcript option when placing your transcript order. You may also choose hold for grades or hold for degree and your transcript will be sent as soon as your grades or degree posts.

If you have recently requested your transcript to be picked up and haven't picked it up, please call (503)725-3220 or email us at transcripts@pdx.edu for help. 


Transcript Fees

Official transcripts are $8 per transcript for all transcript types, plus an additional charge for mailing paper copies ($3 domestic and $5 international USPS). Additional charges may apply for special requests, see below for more information.


How to Order Official Transcripts

  • Log in to Banweb.
  • Once you have successfully logged in, select the "Student Services" tab
  • Select "Student Records"
  • Select "Order Official Transcript"
  • Click "Parchment" (this will take you to the secure Parchment transcript ordering page). If this is your first time logging in, you will be asked to confirm your contact information.
  • Follow the on screen prompts to order your official transcript(s)
    • Select Destination Type (organization or school, yourself, or another individual)
    • Select Product Type (pdf eTranscript, paper mailed, or paper pick-up)
    • Enter Order Details and Payment information
    • Review and Confirm to submit your order
    • A confirmation and receipt will be emailed to you

Additional Transcript Request Information

Login Information

I don't know my PSU ID: If you have forgotten your PSU ID number, or your previous ID number was your Social Security number, please submit the PSU Student Account Recovery request form. We will respond within two business days. 

I know my PSU ID but I don't know my password: If you have issues with your login, please go to oam.pdx.edu, enter your ID number or username and click "Forgot Password?" Follow instructions on the screen to reset your password. If you are still unable to log in, please contact the Help Desk at 503.725.4357.

PSU ID Number

All students who attended PSU after 1981 were issued a unique PSU ID number. If you do not know your PSU ID number, please contact the Office of the Registrar at 503.725.3220.

Students who attended before 1981 may go directly to the Parchment Ordering page and create an account to make your request. Follow the instructions below to create your account. You are only required to to set up an account one time. If you have already created a log in, follow the "returning user" instructions below.

New User

  1. Go to the Parchment Ordering page
  2. Click "Create Account"
  3. Complete the registration page
  4. (note: it is very important that you complete as much of the requested information as possible. This will ensure that your request is matched to your complete student record).
  5. Follow the on screen prompts to order your official transcript(s)
  6. Select Destination Type (organization or school, yourself, or another individual)
  7. Select Product Type (pdf eTranscript, paper mailed, or paper pick-up)
  8. Enter Order Details and Payment information
  9. Review and Confirm to submit your order
  10. A confirmation and receipt will be emailed to you

Returning User

  1. Go to the Parchment Ordering page
  2. Under Returning Users, enter the email and password you used for your initial log in. If you have forgotten your password, click "forgot your password?" to reset.
  3. Click "Sign In"
  4. Follow the on screen prompts to order your official transcript(s)
  5. Select Destination Type (organization or school, yourself, or another individual)
  6. Select Product Type (pdf eTranscript, paper mailed, or paper pick-up)
  7. Enter Order Details and Payment information
  8. Review and Confirm to submit your order
  9. A confirmation and receipt will be emailed to you

Sending to AMCAS

AMCAS accepts eTranscripts sent via Parchment. Follow the instructions below to request your transcript with the additional information that AMCAS requires.

  1. Once you are logged into the Parchment transcript ordering system, search for AMCAS in the "Where would you like your documents sent?" field, and click 'search.'
  2. Select AMCAS from the search results and then select the type of eTranscript you need from the product type list.
  3. Make any necessary adjustments to your order details on the next page and click 'continue.'
  4. A pop up box requesting additional information will appear. This is where you will enter your AAMC ID and AAMC Transcript ID which is required by AMCAS.
  5. After you confirm this information, you will be able to pay for and place your transcript order. Your transcript will be sent electronically to AMCAS within 24 hours.

Sending to an Application System

When you need to have a transcript mailed with a cover sheet, or other enclosed form, there are two options to include the information from the form or attach it to your Parchment request.

If your application system allows eTranscripts, you will be prompted to enter the Transcript Request Form Barcode from the cover sheet. Once you enter that information, you'll be able to complete your order and the transcript will be sent.

If the application system doesn't allow eTranscripts or doesn't promt you to enter information from your cover sheet, you'll be able to attach a copy of it to your transcript request.

  1. Make sure your form is completed and signed
  2. Scan and save the completed form so it is ready to be attached
  3. Under "Attachment (optional)" in the Order Details section of your order, browse for and attach your form (you may attach up to 10 pages)
  4. Complete your order

Third Party Transcript Requests

Colleges, universities, or businesses who are requesting official PSU transcripts on behalf of a student may request transcripts electronically via Parchment.

All third party requests must include a records release or consent form signed by the student (electronic signatures are not accepted). The release must include the student's name, previous names, dates of attendance, date of birth, and last 4 digits of the SSN (optional).

To request a student's transcript go to Parchment Third Party Ordering

For existing accounts, log in and proceed with the order.
For new users, complete the requester information to create an account.

  1. Enter the Learner's (student's) information
  2. Select the Order button and Continue
  3. Upload the signed records release form (this may be a PSU form, the Parchment provided form, or another release/consent form, as long as it is signed by the student and provides the information listed above).
  4. Provide payment information and submit the order.
  5. When the transcript is ready, an email with download instructions will be sent to the requester email address.
  6. Third party transcript requests are sent as pdf eTranscripts and cost $8 per transcript plus an additional $10 processing fee per order.

If an eTranscript cannot be accepted, please submit a Transcript Special Request Form to the Office of the Registrar for mail or fax delivery.

Enclosures and Cover Sheets

Parchment allows you to attach up to 10 pages of supporting documents to paper mailed transcripts and eTranscripts (please verify with the recipient that they will accept eTranscripts). Simply attach your completed form or other supporting document when entering your "order details" in Parchment. Please note that attached documentation must be completed prior to submitting your request to Parchment.

Transcript Special Request

There are a few types of requests that aren't available through Parchment. The following types of requests can be ordered with the Transcript Special Request Form:

  • Same Day Pick-up
  • Faxed Transcript
  • Notarized Transcript
  • Include Enclosure/Cover Sheet with a Paper Transcript
  • Legacy Unofficial Transcript (attendance prior to 1991 only)
  • Hold Override (with special permission only)

Special Request transcripts are $8 per copy, plus a $10 processing fee per order. Legacy Unofficial Transcripts do not have a fee.

Sending to a Specific Department at PSU or Another Institution

Sending to a PSU Department or Other PSU Office

If you need to send your transcript to another department within the PSU campus (such as a graduate department or scholarship committee) do not select "Portland State University" from the institution search results. This will not give you the option to send your transcript to a specific department/office. Instead, follow these instructions after logging in to Parchment:

  1. Click the "Send to Yourself, Another Individual, or Third Party" link below the search field
  2. Select the product type
  3. eTranscript (you will need to enter your recipient's email address)
  4. Mailed (enter the delivery address of the department/office)
  5. Pickup (you can pick up your paper transcript at the Registrar's Office)
  6. Select your order options and enter recipient information
  7. Complete your order

Sending to Departments within Other Institutions

If you need to send your PSU transcript to a specific department or office within another institution follow these instructions after logging in to Parchment:

  1. Click the "Send to Yourself, Another Individual, or Third Party" link below the search field
  2. Select the product type
  3. eTranscript (you will need to enter your recipient's email address)
  4. Mailed (enter the delivery address of the department/office)
  5. Pickup (you can pick up your paper transcript at the PSU Registrar's Office) and deliver it to the other institution yourself
  6. Select your order options and enter recipient information
  7. Complete your order
