Cancel Admission

If you have applied to PSU but have not yet received an admission decision, email to admissions@pdx.edu.

How to Cancel Your Application

  • Log in to your application status page.
  • Complete the required form: "Confirm Your Enrollment at PSU."
  • Select "I DECLINE my offer of admission to Portland State University."
  • Once you have declined your enrollment offer, review the information below and follow the instructions based on the status that most closely fits your situation.

Admitted to PSU, have not registered for classes

  • Canceling your admission may impact your financial aid award, including scholarships. Contact the Office of Financial Aid directly to confirm the status of your aid.
  • Housing contracts must be canceled separately. Contact Housing if you do not intend to enroll at PSU and live on campus in the future.  
  • You are responsible for any university charges you may have incurred prior to canceling. Sign in to your student account to review your charges.
  • If you have activated your student account, correspondence regarding enrollment may be sent to your @pdx.edu email inbox. Check this account regularly or have your PSU emails forwarded to your personal account.

Admitted to PSU, have registered for classes, academic term has not begun
