When Can I Change My Admission Start Term?

Admitted undergraduate and postbaccalaureate students may choose a new start term from within the three consecutive terms after their initial term of admission. All future terms will require a new admissions application. For example, a student admitted in fall 2017 can change their start term to winter 2018, spring 2018, or summer 2018; fall 2018 would require a new application.

Alternatively, admitted freshmen may request a one-time gap year deferral.

If you have questions about changing your term before you receive an admission decision, please contact admissions at admissions@pdx.edu.

If you have activated your student account, all correspondence regarding enrollment will be sent to your @pdx.edu email inbox. Please be sure to check your PSU email account regularly or have your PSU emails forwarded to your personal account.

How Do I Change My Admission Start Term?

Submit the change of admission start term online form no later than 30 days prior to the first day of class of the term for which you were admitted. For gap year requests, priority is given to those who submit a request by July 1 previous to the original fall admission term.
