Congratulations on your decision to attend Portland State University!
All new undergraduate students are required* to attend New Student Orientation.
At Orientation, you will:
- Learn how to navigate PSU student resources and support services
- Learn about graduation requirements
- Learn how to access advising services after orientation
- Register for your first term of classes!
You will leave New Student Orientation having met with an academic adviser, and registered for your first term of classes.
*Non-Degree, Post-Bac, Distance Learner and Graduate students are not required to complete the New Student Orientation program that our office coordinates. In some cases, there may be orientation requirements specific to your program.

Sign Up for Orientation
Sign-ups for winter term New Student Orientation have now passed. At this time, please submit a Change of Admit Term document in order to update your start term to spring 2017 or later.
Confirm Your Intent to Enroll
The tuition deposit is required for students to register for New Student Orientation, secure a PSU ID card and register for classes. Payment of the tuition deposit (or submission of exemption form) is the first step in the enrollment process for newly admitted students.
