Graduate Student Options

Graduate students are welcome to live in any of our seven housing buildings.  We have many options to choose from including small sleeper units, studios, and one bedroom units. Most of our graduate students live in Blumel Hall for its apartment style feel but may live in any of our buildings.

Eligibility

Eligibility requirements for graduate students to live on campus are as follows:

  • Graduate students must be fully admitted to graduate studies in a Masters or Doctoral program
  • Graduate students must be registered for and maintain a minimum of 4 graduate credits
  • Post-baccalaureate students may live on campus for a maximum of three terms prior to admission to a degree-seeking program
  • Students living on campus during the spring term may live on campus during summer term without enrolling in classes, even if they are graduating at the end of spring term.

Rates

Our housing rates are competitive with—and usually lower than—rates from private housing off campus. In addition, living on campus with PSU Housing is a "turnkey" service. That means you pay one fee to us and we take care of many of the life maintenance issues you would have to deal with if you lived off campus. This turnkey approach frees your time for what is most important as a graduate student—time for your research and studies and time for rest in between. You will not find this kind of service off campus.

Support

In addition, we have staff on hand who can provide any manner of assistance—from finding your way around campus to getting a maintenance issue resolved right away. Our efforts go toward providing you with the service you need so you can focus on your academic goals. You will not find this kind of service off campus.
