Second Year Experience (SYE) Tours!

St. Helens tours will be happening during Week 2 and 5 of Winter Term. See why students choose St. Helen’s for their Second Year Experience. 

Gift cards and swag will only be available for current First Year Experience students who attend.

Location: All tours start in the Ondine Lobby.

Week 2 Schedule: 

• Monday, January 12th: Tours leave at 12:45 pm, and 1:10 pm
• Wednesday, January 14th: Tours leave at 5:00 pm, 5:25 pm, and 5:50pm
• Friday, January 16th: Tours leave at 5:00 pm, 5:25 pm, and 5:50pm

Week 5 Schedule:

• Monday, February 2nd: Tours leave at 12:45 pm, and 1:10 pm
• Wednesday, February 4th: Tours leave at 5:00 pm, 5:25 pm, and 5:50pm
• Friday, February 6th: Tours leave at 5:00 pm, 5:25 pm, and 5:50pm

Second Year Students Face Unique Challenges

We hope to address and provide support with the challenges of the second year in higher education. Students are faced with the potential of taking courses that may have been missed, deciding on a major, and moving toward decisions that are more impactful. This means that student needs will change. Our expectation is to provide resources and support consistent with the level of support provided to first year students.

By choosing to live in Saint Helens Residence Hall, you opt into a smaller residential community. There are more opportunities to connect with all of your neighbors and build a tight knit community. With quieter living on the west side of campus, convenient access to the city and metro area, and close proximity to two other residence halls, the Second year Experience in Saint Helens is truly special.

Saint Helens units are double occupancy only for 2024 - 2025.  
Double and single units available starting the 2025-2026 academic year.
