Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I have an internship in Portland, but I'm not a Portland State University student. Am I still eligible for your summer intern housing program?
A. Absolutely! Our summer intern program is open to students who are interning in Portland or are here for other academic purposes. You do not need to be a PSU student to be eligible.

Q. I would like to reserve a room. Are there still rooms available?
A. Registration for Summer 2026 has not opened yet.

Q. Do you typically run out of intern rooms?
A. In past summers we've been able to accommodate all interns needing housing. However, requests for intern housing have been increasing. Please register early.

Q. Are the single units any different from the double units?
A. Single simply refers to occupancy and means that you will not have a roommate. Double means that you will have a roommate, either one that you have requested or one that we match you with.
