Rental Policies |

_______In order to rent equipment at the PSU student or staff/alumni rates, individuals should be prepared to present a PSU ID Card, an Alumni Card or a current class schedule and a valid photo ID. Without proof of affiliation with PSU, equipment is rented at the public rate. In these instances the individual must present a valid government issued photo ID. _______Reservations may be made up to 5 business days in advance. A deposit must be made in order to hold a reservation and this can be done over the phone with Visa/Master Card. The deposit card must be presented upon pick up. In order to receive a full refund, a 24-hour cancellation notice must be given. Less than a 24-hour cancellation notice will result in a refund for ½ the rental. Failure to cancel will result in no refund. _______Individuals will be required to provide a deposit on the equipment that they rent using a Visa or MasterCard. _______It is the responsibility of the individual to ensure they have adequate transportation and in some cases, storage for the equipment. This includes, but is not limited to roof racks to transport kayaks. _______By signing the Rental Agreement, the individual is agreeing that equipment listed on the Rental Agreement is present and in good repair. The EQC is not responsible for gear reported damaged or missing after the renter removes it from the EQC. All renters are strongly encouraged to check over gear before leaving the EQC. _______Individuals may rent gear for themselves and up to two additional people. _______No one person may rent more than two watercraft. _______Individuals will be required to sign a release that includes a statement indicating that they have experience using the equipment they are renting. _______Individual must be 18 years or older to rent gear from the Equipment Center. _______Rental periods include pick-up and return days. _______Late fees are 1.5 times the additional day rate for each piece of gear rented. _______Individuals should allow adequate time for larger rentals. Please allow 30 minutes for the larger packages, such as raft and kayaks. For smaller rentals please allow 15 minutes.
