September 15, 2020 - Arrival Measures for Residents Fall 2020

Hello Incoming Residents,

We are looking forward to welcoming you to campus this Fall!  In preparation for a safe on-campus experience, we would like to share information about your arrival to Portland State.  Please read this email carefully and follow the instructions.

  1. On your day of arrival to campus, you will need to go through the COVID-19 Self Checklist (PDF).  All individuals coming to campus with you that day will also need to run through the checklist as well.  This will help keep our community safe knowing you do not have any signs or symptoms when you arrive on campus.  You should continue to do the self checklist daily once you are on campus.

  2. We are asking all students moving in for Fall term to limit their interactions for 14 days once arriving on campus.  This means you should stay in your assigned room as much as possible for the allotted time (14 days).  You are able to go to the dining hall to grab food or to the store for necessary purchases.  The priority is to limit your interactions with others as much as possible.

  3. If you are coming from out of state or country, please see our Arrival Guidelines for Out of State and Country Residents.  Read this information carefully.  Prior to arrival on campus you need to contact the Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) front desk (503-725-2800).  They will talk through your travel plans and needs for safety measures. Calling in advance will help you prepare for your arrival on campus.

Again, we look forward to welcoming you to your new home.

Safe travels,

UHRL
