*Proposed* 2021-2022 Cancellation Guide

Any Contract cancellation or termination must be submitted in writing. If you are cancelling an upcoming contract before moving in, you may email your request to housing@pdx.edu. If you wish to cancel your current contract after having moved in, you must contact us at housing@pdx.edu to obtain a Contract Cancellation Form to avoid improper cancellation charges. Cancellation fees may apply.

The $140 Spring Prepayment will be refunded only if Resident provides UHRL with written notice of Contract cancellation on or before June 15, 2021. Cancellations after June 15, 2021 will not receive a refund of the Spring Prepayment. Students with active Contracts during Spring 2022 will have Spring Term charges reduced by $140.

 

2021-2022 Cancellations Before Move-in

Below are the cancellation fees that apply if you cancel the Housing Contract after Reserving a Room and before moving in.

UHRL will check registration records after the second week of each term for all residents who cancel their contract due to non-enrollment/withdrawal and will adjust the buy-out fee for any resident who is registered at that time.

 


2021-2022 Cancellations After Move-in

Below are the cancellation fees that apply if you cancel the Housing Contract after moving in for the 2021-2022 Academic Year. Residents are responsible for checking out of their unit by noon on their scheduled move-out date. Students not enrolled in minimum credits must move out immediately.

1 - Cancellations due to Active Military Duty will be pro-rated for each night in room

2 - If a student withdraws from the University during Winter Term, and reenrolls for Spring Term, they will be responsible for all of Spring Term housing charges.
