How to Sign Up for Housing

  1. Complete your PSU admission applicationYou must be admitted to PSU to sign up for housing.
  2. Create an ODIN username and password.  This is your PSU account and login.  This will take 24 hours for activation.
  3. Submit your housing contract.  Submit your contract early for best consideration and to be included in the first rounds of assignments. Assignments are made in the order contracts are received. Students can choose between an Academic Year Contract or a Summer Contract.
  4. Accept your assignment.  Assignments for the academic year will begin in April for transfer and continuing students and in May for first-year students.  Summer assignments begin each year in May. Be sure to check your @pdx.edu email each day to accept your room assignment.

How it works

We accept contracts on a rolling basis and will continue to accept contracts even after our priority deadline. Assignments are made on a first-come, first-serve system. We strongly encourage students to complete a Housing Contract early. You may log back into the Housing Portal at any time to view your contract status, room assignment, preferred roommate information, and can change your room preferences up until you receive a room assignment. 

Contract Fees 

Housing Contract fees consist of a $50 non-refundable application fee and a $140 Spring Prepayment that will reduce your Spring Housing charges by $140. The Spring Prepayment is refundable on cancellations through May 1st before the academic year begins. Contract fees are billed to your student account. There are no contract fees for Summer. The full contract terms and conditions may be found on our Policy & Forms page.
