Residents who are cancelling an upcoming contract before moving in must email their cancellation request to housing@pdx.edu. Residents needing to cancel their current contract after having moved in must contact complete a Contract Cancellation Request Form via the Housing Portal to avoid improper cancellation charges. UHRL will send an email upon approval of cancellation request. Cancellation fees may apply. If you have any questions about our cancellation policies or fees as outlined below and in our Terms & Conditions, please contact UHRL prior to submitting your cancellation request.
The $140 Spring Prepayment will be refunded only if Resident provides UHRL with written notice of Contract cancellation on or before June 15, 2022. Cancellations after June 15, 2022 will not receive a refund of the Spring Prepayment. Students with active Contracts during Spring 2023 will have Spring Term charges reduced by $140.

UHRL will check registration records after the second week of each term for all residents who cancel their contract due to non-enrollment/withdrawal and will adjust the buy-out fee for any resident who is registered at that time.
2022-2023 Cancellations After Move-in
Below are the cancellation fees that apply if you cancel the Housing Contract after moving in for the 2022-2023 Academic Year. Residents are responsible for checking out of their unit by noon on their scheduled move-out date. Students not enrolled in minimum credits must move out by the Sunday following withdrawal from classes.
