Portland State University proudly participates in the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) for academically qualified incoming Freshman and Transfer students who meet specific criteria. Students are eligible for a reduced tuition rate of 150% of resident tuition. Visit our WUE Information page for details.
Full time students should expect to take 15 credits per term. Credit hours vary by program.
Other Expenses
This amount is the cost of living on campus. If you plan to live at home or off campus adjust this amount according to your personal housing costs.

This tool provides an estimate only. It helps you determine your annual minimum base tuition, fees, and other expenses. Other fees may apply depending on the course of study. Online courses include an assessed a fee of $35.00 per credit.

PSU requires that all students enrolled in five or more credits per term maintain comprehensive health insurance to ensure that students stay healthy and in the classroom. We offer the PSU Health Insurance Plan, a major medical health insurance providing preventative, routine and specialized health benefits. Those who have comparable outside health insurance can apply to waive the PSU Health Insurance Plan. Students who do not apply to waive it, are automatically enrolled and billed $875 per term.

Current PSU students should login to their student account approximately 2-3 weeks prior to the beginning of each term for a precise tuition and fee assessment.
